Police Updates (July 12, 2014)

(ZIZ)– A juvenile was formally arrested and charged for Receiving, which was committed between 4th June 2014 and 7th July 2014.

A juvenile was formally arrested and charged for House Breaking and Larceny, which was committed on 4th June 2014.

Shantez Mintos of Butlers Village was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition and Smuggling, which were committed on 7th July 2014 at Charlestown.

Baldwin Campbell of Chapel Alley was formally arrested and charged for Unlawful Possession, which was committed on 8th July 2014.
Francisco Reyes of Basseterre was formally arrested and charged for Building Breaking and Larceny, which was between the 26th and 27th June 2014 at La Guerite.

Meanwhile, Neville Fahie of New Road, St. Peters was convicted for Making Use of Indecent Language which was committed on 16th June 2014, and cautioned.

Jamaine Lewis of Monkey Hill was convicted for Possession of Cannabis which was committed on 16th April 2014, and fined $1,000.00 which is to be paid in four (4) months or will serve four (4) months in prison.

Kevin Browne of Buckley’s Village was convicted for Battery which was committed on 28th December 2013, and fined $750.00 which is to be paid in three (3) months or will serve three (3) months in prison.

Valentine Brian Benjamin of Buckley’s Estate was convicted for Malicious Damage which was committed on 17th March 2013, and ordered to pay $2199.00 in compensation within two (2) months or will serve six (6) months in prison.

Kai Cabey of Fort Thomas Road was convicted for  Battery on Police and Resisting Arrest, and fined $750.00 for each charge, which are to be paid in two (2) months or will serve six (6) months in prison.

Carl Hobson of LaGuerite Village was convicted for Simple Wounding, which was committed on 26th December 2013, and placed on a Bond in the sum of $2,500.00 for a period of two (2) years to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and ordered also not to interfere with victim.

Nakisha Harrigan of Poland, Conaree was convicted for Simple Wounding, which was committed on 8th June, 2014, and was reprimanded and discharged.

Danny Darroux of Carty Alley was convicted  for Using A Passport Which Was Not Legally Issued To Him which was committed on 29th May 2014, and fined $5,000.00 which is to be paid in five (5) months; $2,000.00 is to be paid by the 30th September 2014, or will serve five (5) months in prison, and the remainder is to be paid by the end of the 5 months period or   will serve eight (8) months in prison.

In other news, the Cayon Police Station is currently investigating a shooting incident which occurred at Upper Cayon in the vicinity of the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Thursday 10th July 2014 about 1:50 AM, which resulted in one person hospitalised.

Initial investigation reveals that Denzil Challenger of Old Road was allegedly attacked unknown assailants while he was walking down the road.
