Police Updates (September 1, 2014)

(ZIZ)– Eustace Thompson of Lower Monkey Hill was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition, which were committed on 25th August 2014 at Greenlands.

C-Jay Whyte of Fig Tree, Sandy Point was formally arrested and charged for Battery on Police and Resisting Arrest, which were committed on 27th August 2014.

Kareem Jeffers of Ponds Pasture was formally arrested and charged for Wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, which was committed on 22nd August 2014.

A juvenile was arrested and charge for the offence of Larceny, which was committed on 28th February 2014.

Meanwhile, Morley Norford of St. Paul Village was convicted for two (2) counts of Careless Driving, which were committed on 2nd September 2013 and 5th March 2014, and fined $350.00 for the offence committed on 2 September 2013, which is to be paid in seven (7) days or will serve fourteen (14) days in prison and $1000.00 for the offence committed on 5 March 2014, which is to be paid in two (2) Months or will serve one (1) month in prison. He was also disqualified from Driving for a period of six (6) months.

Zambi Heath of Cardin Avenue was convicted for Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with intent to supply, Possession of Crack Cocaine, and Possession of Crack Cocaine With intent to supply which were committed on 7th June 2013, and fined:

  • $10 000.00 for Possession of Cocaine which is to be paid in one (1) month or in default will serve six (6) months in prison.
  • $20 000.00 for the offence of Possession of Cocaine With Intent To Supply hich is to be paid in two (2) months or in default will serve one (1) year in prison;
  • $15 000.00 for Possession of Crack Cocaine which is to be paid in one (1) month or in default serve six (6) months in prison.
  • $30,000.00 for the possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply which is to be paid in two (2) months or in default will serve one (1) year in prison; He was fined $75 000.00 in total.

Marlon Heath of Cardin Avenue was convicted for Possession of Cannabis, and fined $500.00 which is to be paid in seven (7) days or will serve one (1) month in prison.

Joycelyn Hodge of Cardin Avenue was convicted for Possession of Cannabis, and fined $200.00 to be paid in seven (7) days or will serve seven (7) days in prison.

Ian Oneil Woodley of Sandy Point was convicted for Breaching an injunction protection order made against him, which was committed on 23rd May 2014 at Ferry Terminal, and fined $1000.00 which is to be paid in two (2) months or will serve one (1) month in prison.

Virgil Gumbs alias “Hippie” of Parrays Village was convicted for Indecent Language which was committed at College Street on 19th February 2014, and Insulting Language, which was committed on 4th March 2014, and fined $500.00 for the offence of Indecent Language which is to be paid in one (1) month or will serve two(2) months in prison and $750.00 for the offence of Insulting Language which is to be paid in two (2) months or will serve two (2) months in prison. He was also remanded to HMP for three (3) days after found guilty.
