Primary School Teacher Wins Culturama’s Slogan Competition

(ZIZ News) – “Culture, Fete and Fun! Culturama 41!” will be the slogan of the 41st Nevis Culturama Festival.

The winning slogan was penned by Jessups resident Zewani Morton, who is a grade two teacher at the Charlestown Primary School.

The announcement was made so that Morton’s students were able to celebrate the special occasion with her.

She said she always thought about entering the competition.

“I was home and I saw the contest launched on Facebook and I decided to try my hand at it because I always wanted to give an entry and I just sat down and wrote different slogans and this just happened to be the one that was chosen,” she explained.

Morton, like previous slogan winners, will receive a plaque and two complimentary tickets to all Culturama 2015 activities.

Culturama 41 will be celebrated from July 23rd to August 4th, 2015.
