Prime Minister Harris commends Yu Lounge on opening of New Hangar

(ZIZ News) — Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris has commended the Veling Hospitality Group on the occasion of the opening of a nearly 20,000-square foot hangar at Yu Lounge Mauritius on Wednesday May 6th.

Mauritius and St. Kitts and Nevis are the only two countries where Yu Lounge, a private aviation terminal brand, operates.

Prime Minister Harris publicly thanked the group for choosing St. Kitts and Nevis as one of its early destinations.

Dr. Harris also noted that Yu Lounge has played a significant role in boosting the Federation’s overall tourism product.

“My country, St. Kitts and Nevis, is thankful that the co-founders of the Veling Group chose our Federation to set up its second Yu Lounge following its inaugural lounge in Mauritius,” he noted.

“This exceptional facility is today playing a very important role in positioning St. Kitts and Nevis in the very competitive world of tourism market, sending the right message to the world about St. Kitts and Nevis as we continue to forge ahead in the development of our beloved Federation. We are pleased to be able to offer the discerning traveller the exquisite convenience plus comfort which only Yu Lounge can so gracefully provide,” he added.

The Prime Minister said St. Kitts and Nevis has welcomed a new class of travellers to its shores since the opening of Yu Lounge in 2014.

He added, “Since its inception just over one year ago on the 2nd May, 2014, the Yu Lounge St. Kitts has welcomed a large number of important foreign delegations, international corporate gurus, investors, high net worth individuals, world celebrities and guests of St. Kitts and Nevis. This state of the art facility and excellent staff are a tribute to the capabilities of the co-founders of Veling and their team.”

The new $3 million hangar at Yu Lounge Mauritius can accommodate four Dassault Falcon 900s or a pair of Bombardier Global 5000s aircrafts at the same time.
