Reign of Elegance announces the 2014 Mother of the Year
ZIZ News — Reign of Elegance has announced the 2014 Mother of the Year.
Ms. Agnes Farrell is a 16-year breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with the disease in 1998 and completed her radiation and chemotherapy in July, 1999 in Trinidad & Tobago.
At a time when many women and families continue to grapple with the challenges associated with breast cancer, Ms. Agnes Farrell of the Reach For Recovery Breast Cancer Support Group has been a pioneer in the development of a network of care and support in our federation.
Upon her return to the Federation and realizing that there was no support group or cancer society here she got together with three other persons and told them of her intention to form a support group.
This signaled the birth of the Reach For Recovery Breast Cancer Support Group in February of 2002. Ms. Farrell is the current president.
The Reach For Recovery Support Group is now a well recognized organization dedicated to continuing the work to ease the financial, moral and spiritual welfare of persons who are stricken by this dreaded disease.
Ms. Farrell will be awarded at the annual Mothers Day Event on Sunday May 11th 2014 at 4.00 p.m. at the arrivals terminal of Port Zante St. Kitts.
