Rotary Club of Liamuiga Donates to Outreach Centre

(ZIZ)–The Rotary Club of Liamuiga is getting into the spirit of love this Valentine’s Day with a donation to a programme that feeds the needy.

On Friday morning, the Rotary Club donated a cheque for five thousand five hundred dollars ($5,500) to the St. Christopher Outreach Centre to help them buy a new stove.

Past President of the Rotary Club of Liamuiga, Eustace Warner explained how this donation came about.

He said, “When we were planning our “Make a Wish” program, which is an annual event for Rotary, we realized we did not have enough time in which to carry out this project.  And so it was brought to our attention that a stove is required at the institution.”

Shirma Chandiramani of the St. Christopher Outreach Centre thanked the club for its donation, especially on this day of love.

“On behalf of our family and the Rams Group of Companies, I would like to thank the Rotary Club of Liamuiga for their kindness to the Outreach Centre and today’s a very auspicious day and in the spirit of love and kindness we’re glad your light and love is shining through to the community and the federation,” she said.

The St. Christopher Outreach Centre feeds about 92 persons every week.
