ZIZ Sports…Dec. 8, 2010 – Former Leeward Islands captain Runako Morton has been named in a 41-man Trinidad and Tobago training squad to prepare for the 2011 regional season, which bowls off in January with the Caribbean Twenty20 tournament to be held in Antigua and Barbados.

Morton, who has played 15 Tests and 56 One-day Internationals for the West Indies, has represented the Leewards since making his first-class debut in 1997 but has approached the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) on the possibility of playing for T&T next season.

TTCB chairman of selectors Dudnath Ramkessoon, in a telephone interview with the Express yesterday, explained that the right-hand batsman from Nevis has been living in Trinidad for the last six years and is eligible to play for T&T, but will have to prove himself worthy in trials…
