(ZIZ News) – The police in Nevis are investigating a shooting near a church in Gingerland on Sunday afternoon.
According to reports shots were fired near the Church of God of Prophecy in Gingerland at around 1pm.
ZIZ understands that shortly after the church service ended a man was leaving the church.
As he walked away two armed masked gunmen dressed in black reportedly opened fire at him.
Reports say he was able to get away unharmed.
Police have canvassed the scene and investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, in other police news, a contingent of officers is expected to leave the Federation tonight and sail to Dominica for the funeral service of Constable Brian Pacquette who died in late July.
The service will be held on Tuesday
