Shooting In Newtown

ZIZ NEWS…18 May 2010 – A shooting in Newtown this morning led to the Anti-Gang Unit being called to the area to investigate.

According to reports a spray of gunshots were heard by local residents.

ZIZ News was at the scene within minutes of the incident, and after speaking to the St Kitts and Nevis Police Force found that at approximately 10.45 am this morning the police responded to a call of gun shots being heard in the Mad House Alley area of Newtown.

According to police reports it has been alleged that three masked men went on a shooting spree. The three men fled the scene following the incident.

The police state that no victims had been found and no properties had been damaged. Police did confirm, however, that spent cartridges had been found at the scene.

No arrests have been made so far in regards to this incident. Police investigations are still ongoing.
