Shooting Suspect in Custody

(ZIZ News) – The police have taken one person into custody in connection with a shooting incident in Sandy Point, on Thursday night.

According to a police statement, at about 7:20 pm, a 29 year old male was entering his yard in the “Alley” area when he was shot by an unknown assailant who was dressed in black clothing.

The statement said several shots were fired at the victim with one striking him in the arm.

The victim was treated at the Pogson Hospital and later transferred to the J. N. France General Hospital for further treatment.

The investigation is ongoing.
