Siobhan Phipps crowned Miss Digicel Haynes Smith Caribbean Talented Teen

ZIZ News…30/12/11 – Miss St Kitts, 15 year old Siobhan Phipps, has been crowned the 2011/12 Digicel Haynes Smith Caribbean Talented Teen; successfully bringing back the title to St Kitts.

Thunderous applause by the large crowd echoed at Carnival Village early Friday morning as Miss St Kitts Siobhan Phipps was clearly announced the 2011/12 DIGICEL Haynes Smith Caribbean Talented Teen.

Winning four out of the five judged segments, Phipps amassed a total of 826 points to win the coveted title from a field of twelve Caribbean beauties.

She took the Production number, Ambassadorial Wear, Evening Wear and the Talent segments.

For her talent, Siobhan performed a skit illustrating the deadly impact bullying can have on peoples’ lives.

As part of her victory, Miss St Kitts won her self a digital camera from the Deputy Prime Minister Hon Sam Condor, a laptop computer from Digicel and she also won a cruise with her chaperone.

The Interview Segment was won by Miss Bermuda Shaunte Simmonds.

First runner up position went to Miss Jamaica Aba Sykes; in the second runner up position was Miss BVI Ashellica Fahie while the third runner up spot was taken by Miss Anguilla Keivanee Lake.

The other participating countries were Nevis, USVI, St Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, the Bahamas and Barbados.
