SKELEC Customer Appreciation Event

(ZIZ)– The St. Kitts Electricity Company is saying thank you to its customers through a series of customer appreciation events.

On Friday, a tent was set up complete with giveaways and snacks for customers who came to pay their bills.

SKELEC P.R.O., Gawain Fraites said they wanted to particularly thank their customers for their patience during the company’s upgrade period.

“Last year we were transitioning from our old billing system to the new one and we had a lot of hiccups and we had a lot of customers who were irritated about getting late bills.  We decided to do something to thank the customers.  So this is one way we decided to show thanks to our customers,” he said.

Several other events have been held to interact with the public and Fraites says so far the response has been very positive.

“We thought that in the beginning it was going to be rough because of what we go through but we have customers who understood.  So it was nice to actually meet our customers face to face and interact with them and this is just another way for us to interact with our customers.  So all in all it’s been a great project that we’ve put together.  And the response from the customers is actually overwhelmingly good,” he said.

The Customer Appreciation Week included a church service, school visits, and meetings with commercial customers.
