SKN Development Bank Supports Miss Venus Swimwear Contestant

(ZIZ News) – The St. Kitts Nevis Development Bank has once again jumped on board to support Alsanarda Hanley as she prepares to compete in this year’s Miss Venus Swimsuit Competition later this month.

She received a $5000 cheque during a handing over ceremony on Thursday.

Support Officer For Marketing At The Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis, Vernitha Maynard said the bank is always ready and willing to support the Carnival Committee.

“Development is always excited and elated to support the National Carnival Committee in instances like these. We came on board quite a number of years ago and we continue to do so. We did it for last December and again now we are sponsoring in the amount of five thousand dollars to Alsanarda Hanley to appear in the Miss Venus swimsuit competition”

Hanley, who won the Inaugural National Carnival Miss Swimwear Pageant in 2015, thanked the bank for their donation as they also sponsored her in December during the Carnival season.

“I would just like to see a heartfelt thank you to the Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis for helping me prepare for the upcoming pageant. Your financial help is a great help and I hope to successfully win and return the crown so that I can make you guys proud”, she expressed.

Minister of Culture, The Hon Shawn Richards commended the bank for continuing to support Miss Hanley even after assisting her in December of 2015.

“Of course the bank could have taken a decision to end its sponsorship at that particular point in time or not provide any further assistance. However, that has not been the case and as such we must commend the bank”, the Minister noted.

Alsanarda Hanley will represent St. Kitts in The Miss Venus Swimwear Competition in Anguilla on July 22 & 23.
