SKNLP Holds Anniversary Church Service

(ZIZ)– Government officials, relatives, friends and supporters of the St.Kitts Nevis Labour Party came out on Sunday morning to join in fellowship at the New Birth Tabernacle Church in Cayon.

The service is part of a series of activities to mark the 19th anniversary of the Labour Party’s assumption to office.

During the ceremony party leader Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas said part of their mission has always been to provide a better life for the young people of the nation.

“We knew that we would go to the ends of the earth to provide learning opportunities and training opportunities as well. Whether here at home or in institutions far from our shores we ensured the development and the advancement of the youths of this proud nation at levels never ever before seen in this country so their hearts might be glad,” he said.

He said although there has been conflict within the part, God has put them on a path to a bright future.

“He bound up our wounds. He has stopped the haemorrhage. Healing has taken place and he has placed us on a straight path. The case is now straight that we going for all eight,” he said.

Other activities to mark the SKNLP’s 19 years in office include a town hall meeting, a national broadcast and the soft opening of Kittitian Hill.
