St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force Music Programme receives Corporate support

ZIZ News…October 25, 2012 — Following the recent growth of the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force Structured Beginners Music Programme for young persons across the Federation, the TDC Group of Companies, through its Business Centre has come forward to support the initiative.

Mrs. Jonelle Rawlins-Drew, TDC Client Relations and Marketing Manager, recently handed over a HON Two (2) Door Standing Filing Cabinet, valued at over seven hundred dollars, to Mr. Nigel Williams, Programme Coordinator, to provide additional storage for the manuscripts and other related documents.

In making the presentation, Mrs. Drew applauded the SKANDF and spoke of the importance of backing the grass roots venture while reiterating the Company’s pledge to work with Organizations to further assist with the development of Youth.

“We commend the SKANDF for placing emphasis on this home grown Youth endeavour. TDC is therefore pleased to partner with you to continue to provide additional opportunities for many young persons to learn music, play instruments, and use this as a stepping stone for wholesome development,” said Drew.

In accepting the corporate token, Mr. Nigel Williams thanked the leading business house for its willingness to collaborate with the SKANDF to back the endeavour.

“We are very grateful to TDC for their assistance. In our efforts to sustain the programme, this contribution will be of great value to us, as we continue to upgrade our music printing and storage capacity,” remarked Mr. Williams.

The donation forms part of the ‘TDC is YOU- Supporting our local Communities campaign’, which seeks to support Organizations in their quest to promote Youth Empowerment and Education through the Arts.

The presentation took place at the TDC Business Centre on Central Street, in Basseterre.
