St Kitts Marriott Resort Celebrates Associate Appreciation Week 2012

Frigate Bay St Kitts – Put people first, pursue excellence, embrace change, act with integrity and serve our world are the driving core values behind Marriott International’s success.

Associate Appreciation Week is held every year with a full week of activities planned worldwide in appreciation of all associates to thank them for their contributions to Marriott’s success. The St Kitts Marriott Resort recently said “Thank You” to all its associates by planning their own of week celebratory activities.

There was a kaleidoscope of events starting with a daily breakfast being served to associates as they arrived to work or being delivered by managers to associates in their individual areas. Different events held throughout the week included a BBQ lunch, Beach Olympics and Talent Showcase. Every day there was a different event held in the Associate Cafeteria from the “Master Mixer Challenge” drink mixing competition, to Island Trivia to an Associate Talent Showcase. Managers were good sports and volunteered to be the targets for the pie throwing contest. The lunch room was transformed into a lively area with associates guessing what would be in store for them each day.

The resort also used this opportunity to display their Spirit to Serve Our Communities by organizing a book drive where associates and guests helped collect over 300 books. These were donated to the Charles A. Halbert Public Library where volunteers also helped paint and install the sign now displayed at the Library’s main entrance.

“This week was absolutely outstanding! Associate Appreciation Week gave us an opportunity to say a special and personal ‘Thank You’ to our associates for all their hard work and dedication throughout the year. We are grateful that they have selected the St. Kitts Marriott as their second home and look forward to their continued support.”, said Shani Juman-Yassin Director of Human Resources at the St Kitts Marriott Resort.
