St. Kitts Nevis Athletic Team selected for IAAF World Championship

ZIZ News…Feb 24 02 2012 — The St. Kitts & Nevis Amateur Athletic Association is pleased to announce its representative team for the 14th Edition of the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Istanbul Turkey from March 9 to 11, 2012.

Selected to represent the team are:

• Mr. Stuart Joseph (Team Leader/Coach)
• Ms. Tiandra Ponteen, SKN Athlete
• Mr. Brijesh Lawrence, SKN Athlete

Coach Joseph is an IAAF Level 5 coach and is one of the Associations senior coaches.

Ms. Ponteen will compete in the 400m whilst Mr. Lawrence will compete in the 60m event respectively.

Ponteen and Lawrence both met all of the qualification standard and prerequisite requirements of the selectors to be eligible for selection. These requirements include the following:

• A qualifying performance (in accordance with IAAF rules)
• Acceptance of the SKNAAA Team Code of Conduct
• Acceptance of the SKNAAA Team Contract
