St Kitts-Nevis National Senior Football Team Travels To St. Vincent

ZIZ News…Oct 5 2010 – The St Kitts Nevis National Senior Team left the Federation for St Vincent Monday, October 4, to compete in the first round of the Digicel Caribbean. The team was met at the airport by a delegation comprising the President of the St Kitts Nevis Football Association, Mr. Anthony Johnson, Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Sam Condor and Mrs. Condor as well as Management of the SKNFA and family members.

Deputy Prime Minister Condor spoke to the players and encouraged them to do well, “It is indeed an honour to represent your country and you should feel proud, you have the full support of the country behind you and we know that you will do well. Go out there and make your country proud.”

President Johnson commended the players, “I will like to again express thanks to the team and technical staff for their time and commitment. We know all the hard work that you have put into the practices and we are confident that we will succeed to the second round. I will like to remind you that you have the full support of the St Kitts-Nevis Football Association as we continue to put the players first.”

St. Kitts and Nevis is scheduled to play Barbados on October 6, St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the October 8, and Montserrat on October 10. These matches will be broadcast live on ZIZ television and radio.

The National Team includes: Alexis Saddler, Jevon Francis, Tishan Hanley, Akil Byron, Austin Lewis, Tiran Hanley, Earl Jones, Thrizen Leader, Keith Gumbs, Kareem Mitchum, Devaughn Elliott, Kaiyan Benjamin, Joel Jeffers, Ian Lake, Keithroy Richards, George Isaac, Orlando Mitchum and Gerard Williams.
