St. Kitts Rotaract Club to Host 31st Annual Week of Activities

(ZIZ News) — The Rotaract Club of St. Kitts is preparing to host its annual week of activities next week.

President of the St. Kitts Rotaract Club, Castin Stokes says the week of activities is a way of getting members of the community familiar with the club.

“It’s a way of showcasing what Rotaract has to offer to persons in our community; those persons who may not have interacted with us through our projects. So this is a way of showcasing ourselves to St. Kitts”, he said.

Stokes stated this year the organization would be using the activities as a way inspire youth in the Federation to uplift their communities.

“We’re just trying to push the envelope in doing things for our community; tell young people that it’s good to do stuff for the community, even though you’re not getting paid, we can still improve our culture and our society”, Stokes noted.

The Rotary theme for this year is “Be A Gift To The World”.

The St. Kitts Rotaract week of activities includes a panel discussion on crime, violence and issues that affect youth as well as a customer service panel of discussion.

The week of activities begins Monday, March 7 and ends on Saturday March 11.
