St. Kitts/Nevis Delegates depart for World Expo 2012

BASSETERRE,ST. KITTS, JULY 24TH 2012 — A 6-member youth delegation from St. Kitts/Nevis left St. Kitts yesterday for Yeosu, Korea to participate in the World Expo 2012.

The delegates are Khyla Brown who will perform local music in song, Reigning Talented Teen Junika Berry who will perform a dance about absentee fathers, Kazrano Gumbs and MJ Byron who will perform “Viva St. Kitts” and other Caribbean music on steel pan and Leburnah Liburd & Alphonso Henry who will perform cultural dance pieces.

Kazrano Gumbs says they are excited to showcase our culture.

He said, “We hope to showcase St. Kitts to the world and show to show them that young people have various talents and we can portray ourselves culturally.”

The delegation will meet Ambassador Rosalyn Hazelle in Korea who is the Coordinator of the trip.
