Tessanne holding firm in number one spot on iTunes

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Tessanne Chin is again in the number one spot on the USA’s iTunes top 100 songs chart.

Her performance of Whitney Houston’s ‘I have nothing’ on The Voice Monday night sits atop the hugely competitive chart.

In fact, as of 9:00 am, four of Chin’s other songs were listed in the top 100 with the duet of ‘Let it Be’ with coach Adam Levine holding the number four spot, while ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘Try’ and ‘Redemption Song’ are holding down the 17th, 18th and 82nd spots, respectively.

Each time a song is bought on iTunes the competitor receives five votes. In addition, according to The Voice host Carson Daley, each performance that makes it to the iTunes top ten will have their votes multiplied by five.

The Voice finalists Jaquie Lee and Will Champlin also made the iTunes chart with Lee’s rendition of “And I am Telling you I’m Not Going” coming in at number 9, the closer of the two to Chin’s top slot.

Four of Chin’s songs are actually in top 20, when compared to only one of Lee’s renditions and two of Champlin’s performances.
