Thomas Astaphan and Pearletta Lanns appointed to act as High Court judges

BASSETERRE,ST. KITTS, JULY 24TH 2012 (CUOPM) – Two nationals of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis have been appointed to act as judges of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.

Chairman of the Judicial and Legal Services Commission, Sir Hugh Rawlins has appointed Mr. Thomas W. R. Astaphan, a Kittitian, to act as High Court Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court for the period 15thJuly to 10th September 2012.

The Commission has also appointed Master Pearletta Lanns, a Nevisian, to act as High Court Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court for the period 10th September to 31st December 2012.

His Lordship, the Hon. Mr. Justice Thomas Astaphan and Master Pearletta Lanns, have been assigned to Antigua and Barbuda.

High Court Judges, Her Ladyship, the Hon. Justice Louise Blenman and His Lordship, the Hon. Justice Mario Michel, have been appointed as Justices of the Appeal with effect from 10th September 2012.

Attorney at Law, Mr. Gerhard H. A. Wallbank has been appointed High Court Judge for the period 9th July to 27th July 2012 and 6th August to 31st August 2012 assigned to the Virgin Islands.

Her Ladyship the Hon. Justice Vicki Ann Ellis has been assigned as High Court Judge with effect from September 10th 2012.

Master Vivian Georgis Taylor-Alexander has been appointed to act as High Court Judge for the period 20th July to 30th September 2012 assigned to Grenada.

Mrs. Cynthia Combie-Martyr has been appointed to act as High Court Judge from 22ndJuly to 10th September 2012, assigned to Anguilla.

Master Cheryl Mathurin has been appointed to act as High Court Judge for the period 10thSeptember to 31st December 2012.
