Tucker Clark Students Awarded

ZIZ News [August 8, 2013] — Four students of Tucker Clarke Primary are now better equipped as they prepare to enter high school in September.

Deresia Pemberton, Ahjannia Battice, Timothy Martin, Shabazz Whyte have received scholarships, in the form of school supplies, provided by Edris Lewis Veihweg (Vee-Weg), a national now living in the U.S.

In a presentation ceremony this morning at the school, Veihweg encouraged the students to be leaders in their community.

The students say they’re very grateful for the scholarships.

Veihweg also challenged the students and their parents to perform thirty acts of kindness in celebration of our country’s thirtieth anniversary of independence.
