Two charged with kidnapping and another two on guns and ammunition charges (Updated)

ZIZ News…Nov 3, 2011 – Two men have so far been charged with the kidnapping of Mrs. Gilda Rawlins-Vaughan.

Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for crime, Ian Queeley told ZIZ News that two men, Clayton Laws also known as “Yellow” of Nevis Street and Jahmana “Sky Juice” Walters of Parsons Village were charged with the crime.

Assistant Commissioner Queeley also said that two other men, Jermaine Riley and Ali Percival, who were subdued in the abandoned house where Mrs. RawlinsVaughan was held, are also expected to be charged for possession of Guns and Ammunition.

Mrs. Rawlins-Vaughan and her husband Larry Vaughan were taken from their home at Sea View Housing at 3:30am last Friday morning by two men.

Police reports state that at around 5:30 that same morning, Mr. Vaughan was released on the Kim Collins Highway.

Following the reports, the Strategic Intelligence Unit, the Delta Squad, the Criminal Investigations Department and the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force formed a joint crisis team which rescued the victim unharmed at 3:15 Saturday morning.

The Security Forces also found three weapons and more than 75 rounds of assorted ammunition at the scene.
