Tyra Phillip creates new record at VOJN

Tyra Phillip stormed to a new record at the VOJN Primary School on Thursday as the school hosted its cross country events.

The races were very competitive and attracted a neat gathering of parents and other family members.

The star of the day however, was Dawani Hicks who despite his feet defects entered the junior boy’s race in his wheel chair. Aided by his grandmother in parts, the gusty youngster completed the course ahead of two of the other athletes.
