University Gardens Groundbreaking

(ZIZ)– Government and other officials were in attendance on Thursday afternoon for the official start of construction of University Gardens, a new residential site opposite Ross University.

Redwood Incorporated is the developer of the project.

General Manager, Denver Mike said aside from residential space, University Gardens will bring several benefits to the area.

“And more specifically, rather, the community of West Farm will benefit tremendously from the employment opportunities, ranging from manager, administrative, construction and maintenance workers. The construction of University Gardens will result in new residential facilities available to members of the community, local and neighbouring university students alike,” Mike explained.

He said University Garden’s partnership with local companies and organizations will fuel the continued development of the country.

Among those present at the ceremony were Parliamentary Representative for the area, the Hon. Sam Condor and St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Candidate for constituency #3 Konris Maynard.

Construction is expected to take from 18 to 24 months.
