Winair provides major sponsorship for music festival

ZIZ News…April 24, 2010 – Regional airline, Winair has made yet another major sponsorship which forms part of the company’s continued efforts to promote youth development. Mega D Youth Foundation received the sponsorship from Vice President of Marketing, Claudio Buncamper thus making it possible to take part in the Wadadli Music Festival in Antigua.

Buncamper pointed out that Winair has in the past provided significant support and assistance to the foundation in aiding in the execution of several of their activities. Commenting on the major sponsorship, Buncamper stated that the airline is very excited to be providing sponsorship to what he said is a critically important cause.

He said that helping Mega D Youth Foundation will enhance their ability to continue to be viewed as a positive influence into the lives of the region’s youths. The Winair VP of Marketing noted that over the years, because of the commitment from his company a number of youth oriented initiatives and programmes have been supported significantly.

He expressed congratulations to the organizers noting that through these events it has helped to provide an opportunity for the public to recognize their skills and creativity while many have been able to have grown and developed, gaining international recognition and revenue. “We at Winair will continue to lend assistance in anyway that we can as we seek to help the youths primarily in remaining positive while thus resulting in them making meaningful contributions to the communities that they live in,” Buncamper said.

The Wadadli Music Festival is an annual free family festival staged by Fullwerks Productions. Now in its fourth year the Festival includes performers from different genre of Caribbean music such as top Reggae and Soca Artist whilst also promoting local talents. While the festival is geared towards fun and more fun, the festival also brings awareness to the need of giving back to others. In keeping with the motto “Bring a can and come” the Wadadli Music Fest Food Drive was launch in which cans of food are collected each year and donated to the needy.
