Woman survives hit-and-run, relatives being sought

ST ANDREW, Kingston — After surviving injuries sustained in a hit-and-run in St Andrew, an elderly woman who gave her name as Mariah Marshall is now unable to provide contact information in order to be released from hospital.

According to the police the woman was hit by a motor vehicle in Stony Hill on Wednesday, May 28. The driver of the vehicle did not stop, the police said.

The woman was assisted to hospital and treated for her injuries.

However the hospital is now ready to release Marshall but she is unable to give an accurate address or contact information for relatives. She however gave her daughter’s name as Beverly Aryella Smith.

The Stony Hill police are now appealing to anyone may be able to give information on the elderly woman to contact them at 942-2223, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
