ZIZ News…Dec. 9, 2010 – Trinidadian singing sensation Ziggy Rankin has been confirmed as one of the guest performers at the annual Digicel Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant to be held in St.Kitts on December 30, 2010.

The Pageant, which is considered to be the most prestigious pageant of its kind in the Caribbean, has seen many big name Caribbean entertainers grace its stage over the its 30 years history.

Performers including soca King and Queen Machel Montano and Allison Hinds as well as Edwin Yearwood, Jamesy P, Rupee, Reggae Crooner Christopher Martin and Bomani have all graced the Miss Caribbean Teen Pageant stage. Former pageant contestants and current popular performing artistes Claudette “CP” Peters and Pat Raguette have also performed along with Trinidadian comedians Rachel Price, Tommy Joseph and Jamaican radio personality Jenifer Jenny Jenny Small.

Ziggy Ranking was born Khori Francis on the 10th October. From an early age Ziggy took the stage at his local church, singing in his Sunday school choir. Later as a teenager, he battled at neighbourhood “blockos” where he won many chanting competitions.

His skills were honed and developed further, after migrating to New York to attend Queens College. After graduating with a BSC in Music Technology, Ziggy Returned to his native Trinidad, to continue developing his skills as a singer / entertainer.

To date Ziggy’s hits include Miserable Life, Zion Train, Girl Next Door and many more. He has done several Colabos with local acts Blazer and H2o Phlo and Arista Records soul artiste Angie Stone.

Ziggy’s wide range in vocals, his ability to write and produce his own music and his lovable personality, has gained approval from an ever growing fan base.

Ziggy says of his musical style, ” World music Inspires all”.

The Haynes Smith Youth Club Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant is easily the most prestigious pageant of its kind in the Caribbean. The event is in its 30th year and 12 countries would be competing in this years installment of the much heralded pageant.

The contestants will be appearing in five segments: Production Number, Ambassadorial Appearance, Talent, Evening Wear and Interview.

The full list of countries and their representatives are Miss St.Kitts- Zinga Imo (16), Miss Anguilla – Chelsey Hughes (15); Miss Barbados- Danika Terise Mia Cecelia Haynes (18); Miss BVI- Sylvanna Lerose Charles (15);Miss Grenada -Nandy Summor Noel (17) ; Miss Jamaica- Chanike Russell (18) ;Miss St. Lucia – Racquel John (17); Miss Trinidad & Tobago – Kerry-ann Sealy (17); Miss Dominican Republic- Birdalina Trinidad (17), Miss Antigua & Barbuda -Trevorlyn Sheppard and Miss St. Thomas-Tianna Jeremy (17).
