America’s Founding Father remembered on Nevis and in New York

(ZIZ News) — Nevisian-born Alexander Hamilton, who is credited as a United States Founding Father, was remembered in a big way on Friday [January 9th], two days before his birthday.

On Nevis, a ceremony was held on the grounds of the Alexander Hamilton Museum in Charlestown and in New York; members of the Lower Manhattan Historical Society and the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society specially honoured him.

As part of the local celebration, secondary school students received scholarships, an ongoing initiative of the Alexander Hamilton Scholarship Fund.

Alexander Hamilton was born on January 11th in Nevis.
