On Tuesday, Dr. Harris said the new boards represent his government’s own interests in a number of public sector entities. He also spoke of the calibre of directors that have been appointed.
“The Directors chosen represent the diversity of our great nation. We will continue to be deliberate and patient as we seek to get individuals to work for government and serve on boards who want to truly serve their country selflessly,” he said.
While the Directors of all government boards have not yet been named, Dr. Harris listed those for which the selection process has ended.
“Some boards which have already been installed include the St. Kitts-Nevis National Bank, the National Trust, Social Security Board, CFBC Board, Physical Development and Planning Board, ZIZ Broadcasting and in the course of next week, we shall finalise all public sector boards,” he explained.
Dr. Harris was at the time speaking to media professionals at his second monthly press conference since assuming office.
