Brown Hill Wins Football Festival

The Nevis Sports Department climaxed several weeks of intense Football training for a group of youngsters with a Football festival on Thursday 19th December.

The event was held at the Villa grounds in Charlestown and was coordinated by the Sports officers from the Department.

Speaking at the brief opening ceremony were Asst. Permanent Secretary, Ms  D. Michelle Liburd and Ag. Director of Sports, Mr. Jamir Claxton who both congratulated the youngsters for their involvement and wished them success during the festival.

The youngsters were divided into teams and a welcome addition was the Sports Department’s female team which lent to an exciting day of fun competition.

The results of the matches played are as follows:

Bath vs Brown Hill 2-2
St.Paul’s vs Dept. Female team 4-2

St.Paul’s vs Brown Hill 3-0
Bath vs Dept. Female team 4-1
