Cayon Students Win Multiple Sustainability Awards

Falcon Achievers sweep Junior Achievement competition honors

BASSETERRE: Cayon High School’s Junior Achievement company, Falcon Achievers Enterprise, celebrated outstanding success at an appreciation ceremony recognizing student leadership and environmental responsibility.

The student-led company, operating under the theme “Today’s Juniors, Tomorrow’s Changemakers,” swept multiple awards at the October Junior Achievement Competition, including Best Presentation, Social Impact Award, Sustainability Award, and Best Leader Award.

Ta’jahnya Henry, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, led a dynamic executive team that included Adoni Ali as Assistant Executive, along with department heads Barack Archibald (Supply Chain), Markailer Handley (Marketing), Levanna Mitcham (Finance), and Hassan Morton (Sales).

Ms. S. Weekes, Junior Achievement Facilitator at Cayon High School, organized the ceremony to acknowledge the dedication and teamwork displayed throughout the first school term. “These accolades highlight the students’ innovation, leadership, and commitment to social and environmental responsibility,” she noted.

Mrs. Taylor Williams, Junior Achievement Representative and Coordinator for St. Kitts and participating islands, praised the students’ accomplishments and urged them to maintain their association with the programme. She encouraged students to “remain united, and continue striving to be the positive change they wish to see in their communities.”

The Falcon Achievers Enterprise continues advocating for sustainability, promoting environmental cleanliness, nurturing future leaders, and educating young people about responsible citizenship.

The school expressed gratitude to teachers, students, and parents whose support contributed to the programme’s success.
