Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 30, 2020 (ZIZ News):
The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) will be commemorating its 32nd Anniversary with a series of events in the month of October.
CFBC’s Marketing and Communications Specialist, Nigencia James explained what these events will entail.
“So on Friday October 2nd we’re beginning with our library exhibition and we’re going to be displaying different books related around Sir Clarence Fitzroy Bryant as well as the various milestones the college would have taken to reach where we are today in terms of the addition of new divisions. The college began with the teacher education, the evening institutes and the sixth form so since then we would have added…and the health sciences division so that will be included in the exhibition. The next week Wednesday the 7th we will be laying wreaths at the Anglican church and on Friday we will have a lecture regarding the right to education and for the entirety of next week October 5th -9th we’ll be doing a trivia on our social media pages.”
She said the lecture will be on Friday October 9th, however, the time and venue is to be announced.
The lecture and library exhibition will be open to the public and Director of Library Services, Sonita Daniel shared a bit more of what persons can expect.
“ The exhibition will feature important milestones in the history of the college and also feature some of the famous firsts of this institution like the first principal, first heads of division, first deans, first president, first aid scholar produced by the CFBC that sort of thing. Important dates will include like the opening of the skills lab and you know that it has been said that it’s the best in the Caribbean and so we want to highlight the very important and positive things of the CFBC at this time.”
The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, known then as the College of Further Education, was officially opened on September 26, 1988 with Ms. Dulcie Richardson as the first Principal.
