Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 4th, 2021 (ZIZ News) On Thursday’s edition of Policing With You, a team from the Criminal Investigation Department discussed the prevention of crimes such as larceny and malicious damage.
Officer in Charge of the Criminal Investigation Department, Detective Inspector James Francis explained that persons are to be vigilant of their surroundings and keep items of value out of reach from the public.
Detective Sargent Valon Hodge said crimes such as malicious damage are serious offences that can be tried by the Magistrate or High Court.
Inspector Francis added that these petty crimes are more prevalent than any other crimes committed so it is important for the general public to put measures in place help prevent these crimes.
