Dare to Care to Benefit Over Seventy at the Cardin Home

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 10, 2012 (SKNIS): Over 70 residents of the Cardin Home are set to benefit from this year’s Dare to Care Programme.

The first annual heart warming Christmas gift-giving initiative, which was developed by the staff of the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS), has already created a buzz in the streets of Basseterre as it gives persons a chance to extend a helping hand to the elderly.

SKNIS is encouraging the general public to visit the Christmas tree displayed in the Lobby of Government Headquarters and choose a paper ornament with the wish list of a resident. More than one can be selected. Persons have the option of purchasing all the items on the list or choosing the one that has the most appeal. Your name and contact information is required at the reception desk. Wrapped gifts must be submitted by December 19 for delivery on Christmas Day.

Groups of friends, work colleagues and civil organizations can pool their resources to purchase all the items on a person’s list or lists.

Common requests include toiletries, socks and other personal items.
