Dr. Drew Praises Government’s Programmes in Education

(ZIZ News)– The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party’s candidate for constituency number eight, Dr. Terrance Drew is praising the government for its many educational programmes.

Dr. Drew says such programmes help to boost education on the island.

“I would like to congratulate the government on the GRASP and the SIDF, and on the GRASP programme, I had the opportunity to speak at the ceremony and the GRASP programme is something that is going to help new graduates who are coming from overseas as they come home and even from home that they can deal with their student loan and actually get land and property and so that they can enjoy the fruits of their hard labour in university,” he said.

Dr. Drew also said the recently launched Recognising Everyone’s Ability to Climb Higher [R.E.A.C.H.] programme is commendable as it was unheard of when he was a student.

“The REACH programme, I remember when I was much younger, it use to be that France encouraged their people to study by giving them incentives and I am happy that our country has reached the level of development where we can incentivise our young people to stay in school, study hard and prepare themselves for the future and to encourage young people to go into science,” he said.
