Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 18, 2020 (ZIZ News): Attorney General The Hon Vincent Byron says the upcoming elections will be held on the existing boundaries.
In an interview with ZIZ News Mr Byron noted that the courts have not made any decision on changing the boundaries and the voters lists that have been produced each year are based on the pre-existing boundaries.
“Existing lists, that have been produced each year at the Electoral Office, by Registration Officers, when people go to register to vote, are a continuation of the old list based on existing boundaries and the old boundaries,” he said.
He said voters are guided by the voter’s lists which indicate where they should cast their ballots and as such the lists that are in effect are based on the old or pre-existing boundaries.
