ZIZ News…Feb 22 2012 — A Nevisian couple was one of the winners at the 41st Virgin Islands Agri-fest which took place on the President’s weekend.
The Agriculture fair ground was named in honour of UVI golden Jubilee and the Land Grant Programs 40th anniversary.
According to a release, there were several awards presented, such as Farmer of the Year for those in Livestock and Produce. One of the categories was off-island exhibits, which was won by the farming couple from Brown Hill, Nevis, Teen and Billy Thompson.
Off-island exhibits included Guyana in the south, St. Kitts, Grenada, Antigua, Dominica, and St. Lucia.
