WILLEMSTAD, Curaçao — St. Kitts and Nevis’ journey at the 2026 CONCACAF U-20 Qualifiers ended in heartbreak on Tuesday, as Turks and Caicos Islands produced one of the results of the group with a 1–0 victory that condemned SKN to a fourth-place finish.
The only goal of the match arrived in the 30th minute, when Idelin Gardiner found the net to give Turks and Caicos a victory they will long celebrate. For the Young Sugar Boys, it was a cruel end to a campaign that had promised more. Head Coach Bruno Kalonji’s side had been electric in their 3–0 dismantling of the Cayman Islands — with Savi-K Morton, Shamar Matthew, and De’Quan Hamilton all on the scoresheet — and showed real grit in drawing 1–1 with Bonaire. But back-to-back defeats to Jamaica and now Turks and Caicos ultimately ended their qualification dream.
SKN finish the group stage with four points from five games: one win, one draw, and three defeats.
JAMAICA BOOK THEIR TICKET
Jamaica sealed their place at the 2026 CONCACAF U-20 Championship in style, defeating Puerto Rico 1–0 through a Jabaire Howell strike in the 32nd minute. The Reggae Boyz finished the group stage with a perfect five wins from five, an astonishing goal tally, and the top spot in Group B thoroughly deserved.
ELSEWHERE IN GROUP B
Bonaire edged a five-goal thriller against the Cayman Islands, winning 3–2. Roger Johnson II scored twice for Cayman Islands in the 7th and 31st minutes, but Bonaire responded through Zairick Merenciana (28’), Ronaldhinio Clijdesdale (40’), and a Timothy Müller winner in the 81st minute.
