Leeward Islands Cricket Tournament In Progress

BASSETERRE: Mikyle Louis produced a magnificent unbeaten 109 to guide St. Kitts to a thrilling three-wicket victory over Montserrat on the opening day of the LICB Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament at Warner Park on Saturday.

Chasing 166 for victory, Louis anchored the St. Kitts innings with a composed 111-ball knock that saw his team reach 166 for 7 in 36.3 overs. His century proved decisive after Montserrat had been dismissed for 165 in 36.3 overs, with Zawandi White top-scoring with 50 off 59 balls.

Sheno Berridge was the star with the ball for St. Kitts, producing a devastating spell of 5 wickets for just 18 runs to dismantle the Montserrat batting lineup.

In other matches, Nevis continued their dominant form with a comprehensive eight-wicket victory over Anguilla at Conaree Park. After bowling Anguilla out for just 108 in 33.5 overs, Nevis reached 112 for 2 in 24.1 overs, with Carlon Bowen-Tuckett finishing unbeaten on 52. Onaje Amory (3/17) and Jaden Carmichael (3/29) shared the wickets for Nevis.

At St. Paul’s Ground, Antigua & Barbuda defeated Sint Maarten by seven wickets. Rahkeem Cornwall’s exceptional bowling figures of 3 for 6 helped dismiss Sint Maarten for 116 in 31 overs. Tyrone Williams Jr. then struck 61 as Antigua & Barbuda cruised to 117 for 3 in 20.1 overs.
