Head Mistress of the Charles E. Mills Secondary School Carla Diamond told the Education Media Unit that she is very pleased with the attachment to date adding that Madame St. Prix has brought a certain authenticity to the French programme with her genuine French accent and knowledge of the French culture.

“Ms St. Prix has a number of things planned which will make the learning of French exciting for students. She plans to launch a French Club which will feature French dishes, music and culture, She said.”

Ms. Diamond said she hopes to work towards extending this programme with an class exchange in which French students from St. Kitts will attend school in Guadeloupe and vice versa in the near future. She said she also hopes that the attachment will increase the possibility of students to get accepted into French universities by preparing them for DELF examinations (a matriculation requirement for advanced education in French Schools).

The Media Unit learned that Ms. St. Prix two teenage children have accompanied her on her temporary relocation to St. Kitts and are adding to the experience for local children as well as learning from it.
