Man shot dead by police in Riverton City

Kingston, Jamaica — The police have reported that a man was shot fatally during a confrontation with lawmen and a .45 Berretta with 3 rounds of ammunition recovered in Riverton City, Kingston on Sunday.

The dead man has been identified as Oneil Thorpe of Ferguson Drive in the area.

The matter has been reported to the Independent Commissions of Investigations (INDECOM), the police said.
