BASSETERRE– On 3rd October, Her Excellency Linda Charlotte Te Puni, New Zealand High Commissioner to Saint Kitts and Nevis, paid a courtesy called on The Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs et al, following the presentation of her Letter of Introduction to the Honourable Prime Minister, Dr. Terrance Drew.
The Foreign Minister welcomed Her Excellency Te Puni and conveyed the gratitude of the Government for New Zealand’s efforts in enhancing cooperation with Saint Kitts and Nevis. The Minister expressed that it is an opportunity to strengthen the relations as both governments endeavour to deepen and diversify the level of cooperation between them.
Foreign Minister Douglas expressed his appreciation for New Zealand’s proactive engagement with the region and identified trainings, infrastructure development and tourism as promising avenues for growth and collaboration.
As both Governments strive to maintain a strong and productive partnership, this meeting has laid the foundation for increased cooperation which would ultimately reap mutual benefits.
