BASSETERRE: Tarvia Phillip of Old Road Jets FC has been crowned the Most Valuable Player of the 2025 Elvis Star Browne Women’s League, capping off a dominant season with a double award haul.
The St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association announced the individual award winners, with Phillip also claiming the Golden Boot as the league’s top scorer. Her exceptional performances throughout the season earned her $2,500 in prize money, collecting $2,000 for the MVP award and $500 for the Golden Boot.
Phillip’s contributions were instrumental in Old Road Jets’ first-place finish in the regular season, where the team remained unbeaten with 26 points and scored an impressive 73 goals.
Cayon FC, who finished second in the league standings, also celebrated success at the awards ceremony. Goalkeeper Craivecia Sutton earned the Golden Glove award for her outstanding work between the posts, receiving $500 for keeping the most clean sheets during the campaign.
Tyrone O’Loughlin of Cayon FC was named Coach of the Year, receiving $500 for guiding his team to second place with 25 points, just one point behind the league leaders. Under his leadership, Cayon Rockets Women won eight of their 10 matches and will be strong contenders in the upcoming playoffs.
The awards recognize the exceptional talent and dedication displayed throughout the season as women’s football continues to grow in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The playoffs are set to begin next, with Old Road Jets, Cayon Rockets Women, Newtown United, and Security Forces FC competing for the championship title.
