Arrests:
Roosevelt James of Buckley’s Site was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Carrying Abroad An Offensive Weapon, which was committed on 27th December 2013 at Bay Road, Basseterre.
Travis Lake of East Street was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis With Intent To Supply, which were committed on 27th December 2013.
A juvenile was formally arrested and charged for the offences of Carrying Abroad An Offensive Weapon and Possession of Cannabis, which were committed on 26th December 2013.

Dion Bridgewater alias “Oude” of Upper Monkey Hill was formally arrested and charged for the offence of Malicious Damage, which was committed between 26th December and 27th December 2013.
Veon Sutton of Craddock Road was formally arrested and charged for the offence of House Breaking and Larceny, which was committed on 29th December 2013.
Tabernacle Police Station Community Social Event:
On Thursday 26th December 2013, the staff at Tabernacle Police Station held their Annual Police/Community Social Event, which was divided into two (2) sections; Children and Adults. The children’s event took place from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, during which approximately thirty (30) children attended and played games, and enjoyed snacks and beverages that were made available for them.
The adults event commenced from sharply at 7:00 pm onwards, which was attended about 150 community members, and other police officers of varying ranks. Police officers and members of community engaged games, including dominoes, and held discussions of varying . Members of the community were given an opportunity to air their views or concerns about the way in which they are being policed, and the majority of community members expressed how pleased they were with Tabernacle Police Station and their efforts to be more involved in community.
Sergeant Carla Wallace, the Station Officer of the Tabernacle Police Station therefore takes this opportunity on her behalf, and that of her staff, Commissioner Walwyn and the other members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force to thank all those person who were instrumental in making the event a success.
Commissioner CG Walwyn therefore, extends his public support towards this initiative and encourages the residents to continue to forge an improved relationship with the district police and the force as a whole. He said, ” The police and the community working together will certainly deter criminals from committing these brazen acts of crime in our society.”
Wanted Person Surrendered:
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police takes opportunity to inform the general public that on Sunday 29th December 2013, about 7:00 pm, Ian Pemberton who was wanted by the Criminal Investigation Department surrendered himself to a police officer, who took him to the Basseterre Police Station.
A notice was sent to the general public through a wanted poster which was disseminated by the media houses throughout the Federation; a warrant of arrest in existence for Ian Pemberton, for the offence of Battery on Police, Threatening Language and Escaping Lawful Custody, which was committed on 15th December 2013.
Commissioner CG Walwyn takes this opportunity through this medium to thank the Media Houses and the general public for their cooperation and assistance in this matter, and encourages the community to be very concern when persons escape from the lawful custody of the police and places of confinement as these persons may be dangerous. However, Commissioner CG Walwyn, the other Gazetted Officers, and the entire police force are thankful to God for the way in which this matter ended; without the loss of life or injury.
