Port Zante Welcomes Over 10,000 Cruise Visitors

BASSETERRE — Four cruise ships docked at Port Zante on Tuesday, delivering a combined 10,371 passengers to the Federation in a single day — one of the busiest single-day arrivals of the current season.

The vessels — Brilliant Lady (2,405 passengers), AIDAsol (2,171), Grand Princess (2,740), and Celebrity Eclipse (3,055) — brought visitors from across the globe, each representing a key cruise line partnership in St. Kitts’ growing tourism portfolio.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Cruise and Cargo Port Authority (SCASPA) confirmed operations ran without disruption.

“SCASPA remains committed to facilitating safe, efficient, and seamless operations as we welcome the world to St. Kitts,” the SCASPA said in a statement.

The milestone comes as the 2025–2026 cruise season continues to gain momentum. The St. Kitts Tourism Authority noted it remains focused on expanding what the island offers visitors beyond the port itself.

“The St. Kitts Tourism Authority remains dedicated to diversifying on-island offerings to ensure every visitor leaves with a piece of St. Kitts in their heart,” the SKTA said.

The Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Tourism also weighed in, reaffirming that cruise tourism sits at the heart of the Federation’s broader economic agenda. Government officials pledged to deepen cruise industry partnerships “ensuring that tourism development continues to support sustainable economic growth, job creation, and community advancement across St. Kitts and Nevis.”

With tens of thousands of cruise visitors already received this season, industry observers say St. Kitts is firmly on course for a record-breaking year — and Tuesday’s numbers underscore the Federation’s rising profile as a premier Caribbean destination.
