Scarborough, who is currently off island, was contacted via whats app and indicated that he does not blame the St.Kitts Cricket Association for anything. ‘I know they made every effort to make sure that we were involved,’ he said.
He indicated that he was indeed contacted by representatives of the St.Kitts Cricket Association and he arranged for the Nevis chairman of selectors Sylvester Browne to meet with the chief selector from the St.Kitts end in order that they would select a team representing both islands.
He noted that he left the island shortly after and when he heard that only Tonito Willet made it into the team from Nevis, he was very disappointed.
He was then told that Willet had made his own arrangements to get into the team.
Scarborough indicated that he does not know what went wrong but will look into the matter on his return to Nevis.
