Prime Minister Engages Global Leaders in Dubai

DUBAI – “The future won’t wait. We must be bold, prepared, and people-centred in how we govern,” Prime Minister The Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew declared from Dubai, where he is currently attending the World Governments Summit 2026.

In a Facebook post, the Prime Minister stated he is engaging global leaders on shaping future governments, from harnessing AI responsibly to advancing sustainability and strengthening cooperation in an increasingly complex world.

The summit, running from February 3-5, brings together heads of government, senior officials, and international thought leaders to exchange ideas and inspire forward-looking public policy.

The World Governments Summit is organized by a global, neutral, non-profit body dedicated to shaping governance through innovation and technology. Since its inception, the summit has established a dynamic model for international collaboration aimed at empowering next-generation governments.

Prime Minister Drew is accompanied by his spouse Mrs. Diani Prince-Drew, Permanent Secretary Naeemah Hazelle, and Director of Information Services Sherema Matthew.

The Prime Minister’s participation underscores St. Kitts and Nevis’ commitment to engaging in global dialogue on governance, innovation, and sustainable development while strengthening international partnerships supporting national and regional priorities.

The official travel to the World Governments Summit, including accommodation, is fully funded by the Government of the United Arab Emirates.
