Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 27, 2023 (ZIZ Newsroom): The recycling awareness campaign led by the Department of Environment continued on Monday morning at the Deane Glasford Primary School, according to posts on the department’s Facebook Page. Prime Minister The Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew was in attendance and reminded the students of the importance of recycling.
This interaction comes on the heels of a similar visit by Parliamentary Representative for Constituency #3, the Hon. Konris Maynard who visited the Bronte Welsh Primary School on Friday to spread the world about the importance of recycling.
So far, The Department of Environment and the Taiwan Technical Mission have installed plastic recycle bins at St Pauls Primary, Cayon, Sandy Point, Edgar T Morris and Bronte Welsh Primary Schools.
